Anyone here with experience either owning or using the Vulcan Outlaw 195 engine drive welder?   I think it’s not available at this time, but some on youtube have had decent experience with it.   Perhaps a fair choice for getting started moble welding using stick electrodes?   Just wondering if/when they will be available again, and what has been the experience generally for welders?    Of course, my preference would be a Bobcat or Trailblazer, but starting out at a lesser expense, until one’s moble business gets established, providing the reliability and performance are there?    Just thinking out loud!Miller Multimatic 215Spoolmatic 150 spool gun, Miller TIG kitPrimeweld Cut 60 Plasma CutterVevor Pipe StandsBauer Portaband/Swag tableGrinders-Milwaukee, Porter Cable, DewaltArcUnion M-20 portable rod oven
Reply:Another thread commented how nice the Lincoln SA200 welds,, different machines will weld differently.I have both a Miller trailblazer, and a Miller Thunderbolt. there is a difference in how they weld. The Thunderbolt is OK for messing around the shop, building shelves, etc,, but, for serious welding, I use the Trailblazer. If you were the customer,, and the welding guy shows up with Harbor Freight equipment, and produces "so-so" welds,, would you want to call them back??Typically, you only get one chance to impress a new customer,, better make the impression a good one,,,,,,,,,,,,
Reply:HF shows a guy welding with the machine on a HUGE excavator bucket,,Almost any weld on that bucket would surpass the 30% duty cycle of the machine. The customer will not like paying you to wait for the welder to cool off,,,
Reply:Looks nice.  Not sure how concerned I would be about duty cycle with a stick welder.  You can also buy it and run a sticks welder off of it.  However, at that amperage, I am not sure it is a win over a generator and welder. I would not bother dragging out leads.  If I had a lunch box welder, or even mig.
