So I've been wearing carhartt crew neck heavyweight sweatshirts for over 20 years now. They are great for welding in, working outside, working in freezers etc, great for general work.  Well I didnt get the memo that carhartt stopped making them 3 years ago. I normally purchase 5-7 new ones the year before I really need them. Now I need new sweatshirts and there is no source.What does everyone else wear? I am the type of person who loves the cold weather and I work in a 0 degree freezer at times with just 2 sweatshirts on. For the record, carhartt still makes the sweatshirt, but only in hooded. I would rather spend $45 on a good new brand instead of buying the hooded and cutting it off and sewing it back up for $60.Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk

Reply:Carhartts are 13oz 80% cotton 20% poly something.I wouldn't have a problem going heavier, but these carhartts can take abuse. My 15 yr old ones are still the best rags I have in the shop.Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
