Are any of these used welders worth the money?

I took my first welding course this spring (Welding Basics, did oxyacetylene and stick), and am waiting for my second class which is TIG welding (the one I am most interested in), then I will take the MIG class afterwards.I am shopping around for a TIG welder, either new or used dependant on the price/deal/etc., so with respect to used welders I would ask for your opinion on TIG welders I come accross.I want a welder that is big enough to weld a tube chassis race car for drag racing purposes, a MS car would be 1.625 OD tubing .134 wall and up to .250 plate (four link brackets, a CM car would be thinner wall tubing and up to .250 plate (four link brackets). Now, don't worry, I am not planning on welding up the whole chassis myself, but I want the equipment that can in my garage so I don't have to keep hauling things back and forth to the chassis shop in town (which I have been doing for previous cars I have built, me doing the cutting and fitting, and the local chassis shop doing the welding). Thanks for your help and guidance.Working on cars and bikes is my hobby, learning to weld the pieces together is my quest.

Would it be too expensive or risky to consider? Thanks.Working on cars and bikes is my hobby, learning to weld the pieces together is my quest.

Reply:Those all look reasonably priced. Be careful about the one's you have to change to single phase. I think that's an expensive process.MarkI haven't always been a nurse........Craftsman 12"x36" LatheEnco G-30B MillHobart Handler 175Lincoln WeldandPower 225 AC/DC G-7 CV/CCAdd a Foot Pedal to a Harbor Freight Chicago Electric 165A DC TIG PapaLion's Gate Build
