I'm so sorry if I missed the right place to post . I'm new here and brand new to welding. Is there a forum that us 'wet behind the ears' newbies can post ? I'm in awe of all thewisdom here . Maybe we should start a forum of "What NOT TO DO " .....hahah....I'd be the main poster ! LOL If this is the place for newbies - do you mind really dumb questions ? ( I don't want to make anyone angry ) Please let me know ...
Reply:Welcome to WeldingWeb KathyLev! There is an "Introduce Yourself" thread, but this will do. There is a lot of wisdon here, a lot of controversy and a lot of fun. Enjoy yourself, and ask your questions...there's always someone that will answer it.Only when the last tree has died and the last river has been poisoned and the last fish has been caught will we realize we cannot eat money. -Cree Indian ProverbSA 200 LincolnVictor Torches
Reply:I, for one, probably know less than you. So I won't judge you. Let's hear the questions.

Reply:My advice as a noob,... get yourself and welder and get started. Most of what you'll learn you'll learn on your own. I've been welding for an hour now and I'm totally hooked.
Reply:I just joined this evening and will shortly be setting up my stick welder in my shop. I would be interested in any suggestions on what type of rods to start out on and is there a thread where we can post our pictures of our welding to get feedback and suggestions on improving ?Thanks,Eric

Reply:KathyLev..Welcome. Within this site you will find tons of useful info, as well as willing guides. As a newb, much of it you may not understand right away. I reccommend browsing the heck out of it. Some thread titles can be misleading but within them you may find something of value. Above all, don't let the egos found here disenchant you. If you follow through and become a "welder", someday your ego will develop too. It's a welder thing.Elvis
Reply:KathyLev- I am another Newb. Probably closer to pre-k here.
