NOOOO! You don't say! I mean, from behind the control panel......this machine has been in shop longer than the most senior tech! The boss called the lws for a quote on a replacement today... they have 'em on sale... must remain calm... ole blue bones can still be fixed!... But the machine repair facility is moving this week to a new shop...can the boss afford to wait?... Rumors of rising stock prices could mean an increase in business....this is no time to turn away work.... the anticipation is palpable!... Reply:The old Miller ain't completely dead yet, just playin' 'possum! It seems that the panel design which uses jacks and pigtail cables to switch from high range to low range and from electrode positive to electrode negative have left them in vulnerable positions. This was probably kicked by accident and the very small amount of plastic insulation between the hot cable and chassis ground was compromised. In other words, it shorted out!
