robably a fair to good deal in my area. Depending on the size of the tank, it is worth $150+ of that. Is it C25, full tank?Those are good 120v welders if in good shape. oes flux core run well on this machine?
Reply:Yes, it would be fine but remember to change polarity. See manual. Since you have a tank, I would use gas unless you are outside in the wind. Reply:You got a good deal right there, it should run .030 flux core fine I had a old miller 130 wire feeder i ran flux core on it 99% of its 25 years I had it mostly for down and dirty quick repairs

Reply:I've done it. You definitely need wind protection. Welding screens will help or even tarps.

Reply:WOW! Didn't think it would be that hard to get a tank refilled. Everyone wants to do a exchange. I guess I'll keep on looking because I don't want to give up my tanks.

Reply:You would be better to just exchange. I don’t know why guys think their tank is better. Refill will take at least a week and I doubt you will get the identical tank back. Maybe if you paint your name on it. Exchange takes 10 minutes and you are back to welding and the hydro testing won’t matter. To me any tank of same size is just the same. aid down a few beads last night didn't look to bad. Worked on few pieces not cleaned up. My welding table is to small could not get comfortable with gun.Tinkered with a few different gauge steel thickness looking at different beads with different voltages and wire speed. Think I may have a problem with regulator didn't seem to adjust correctly by turning screw. Maybe been ideal for awhile from not being used.

Reply:Yes, that flowmeter will work great and that is a good price. Might give you an opportunity to get your neighbor to help you with welding (if he is experienced).
