Reply:because of access with the rod, I had to weld this one all from the other side. You are looking at the back of the bead.Last pic is cap pass. Kinda big, but.......Rod 3/32 7018, 85 amps. ave, just a little friendly advice, but in my experience when one breaks thru both plates like that when I just gouged it out and welded it back it broke again. I now take the old plate off weld the original piece and then put a new plate back on, and have yet to have a problem. It could have been the situations I was dealing with, but just wanted to throw it out there. ooks good, David. I used to do stuff like that before I got out of it....I need to get more of it again. Around here, the septic guys beat on rock all day long. They break a lot of stuff.

Reply:Nice welding bucket, I have one just like it, but I put beer in the middle, and caps between the bottles. Really is a smart idea though, I set the ground on fire with a stub once, metal bucket should prevent that.
