I've been practising my stick welds and reading the threads in this forum.  This weekend I put together a simple base for some shop cabinets out of scrap sq tubing.  The legs were 3/16 and the cross pieces were unistrut so it was thick to thin welding.  I used 3/32 6013 - I wouldnt have known to use this rod either before hanging out here.  It all went together much much better than it would have a few months ago.  In fact this is the first welding project I have done where I didnt feel the need to design so that the welds were hidden out of sight because I would have been embarrassed to have people see them.This is just a baby project and doesnt rate pix but its a big step forward for my skills and I wanted to say "Thank you Welding Web"  355# Hay Budden3# Hofi HammerPropane ForgeIdealarc TIG 300/300AllStates Oxy Propane torchSmith Little Torch
