I had to make a Great Blue Heron for a local rafting company. Their name is Blue Heron Whitewater.  Made from 1/8" hot rolled sheet cut with plasma and "touched" with a grinder here and there for detailing, it's going to be left bare steel to rust. I made the legs from 1/2" and 1/4" round bar and the pipe it stands on was textured by running crooked stringers to look like a stump.It stands about 6-2" tall with about 20" of 2" sch 40 pipe that'll be below grade in concrete.The little one will get powder coated along with some bent pipe that'll represent waves. I'll finish it up next week.
