I had to cut this off my dads old boat, weld on some extensions then mount in the new boat.  The boat is around a 1990 wooldridge Xtra Plus, 20' long with an inboard 350 and a kodiac pump.  It's a monster.  Semi V hull, I've run it in about 14" of water, but it'll run in less I just dont have the brass ones to take my dads boat through such skinny water.Still have to get the winch wired up but this will make it way easier hauling up the anchor by yourself.  (hard to steer a 20' boat in the river and run up to the bow to pull the anchor without hitting anything)  It's about 1/4 aluminum.  Welded with my sync 250 turned up full throttle, but used a thumb control.  I'm NOT good at welding aluminum, but I couldn't knock it off so I guess it's good enough.  Millermatic 135Syncrowave 250
Reply:It looks like the bracket is welded to the floor only by about 1 1" stitch but it's got a lot more weld on the other side.  For some reason it was easier for me to reach/weld the other side.  Anyway I'm still going to bolt on a cable just in case it lets go I can still have the winch attached to the boat - but I'm really not worried about it.Millermatic 135Syncrowave 250
