Power Rotary Table

Looking for ideas to "drive" a power rotary table.  The job is welding the cirumference of a 2 piece metal spun farmer wheel.  34" dia 11ga. steel.  Some of the stuff I've gathered so far is a couple round disc 3/4 x36", 4 rpm gearmotor, & a 2:1 reducer.  Other gearmotors & reducers are also available.  One sugestion was to friction drive from under the table with a wheel or small tire. Any other ideas ?  Thanks to all who reply.  Will a Miller 185 or200 with .035 wire hold up to 60 pcs. per a run?
Reply:I have one of these to drive my industrial sewing machine.  Lots of good design features for someone wanting adjustable speed of drive .... without too many gears... like this one...[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7_SjYNjPUA0&feature=results_video&playnext  =1&list=PL9CAAD530C9A0D14C[/ame]or this one..http://www.ebay.com/itm/DC-Electric-...item2c5eedcfaeWeldandpower Lincoln 225 AC,DC with Briggs 16hp gas engine.WW2 era Miller TIG.
Reply:Are you putting the wheel on a hub for alignment or centering? I think you are gonna work that size welder pretty hard.
Reply:Welding Speed (in inches per minute) ÷ Circumference of Part = RPMDo you know feed in inches per minute? You have about 106 inches of weld per part. Once you know your feed you should be able to calculate our duty cycle based on your amperage and the machine rating. Likely you'll have a few minutes of setup between parts... provided you keep it in the duty cycle you'd golden... unless you exceed the duty cycle on the circumference of the first part
Reply:Yes Carl,  There is a centering hub.
