you all please look over this and see if these are good setting,,,,i'm learning these advanced control panel setting,,,,,,,,,,,i'm weldin .125ga aluminum with 3/32 tri mix tungston....my amps are set on 175        my min amps set on 40 amps ,,,,,,,pps set on 4,,,,,,,,,on time% set on 60%,,,,,,,background current set on 40%    i have my downslope set on zero,,,,,,,i just ramping down with my foot,,,,,,,,,the bead looks awesome,,,,the puddle seem to be perfect not too wet,you can see the dimes very easy....i have 100% argon   psi set on18- 20,,,,,,,,,      i'm learning this advanced control panel the best i can once again from the help of this club,,,,,,,,,,and one more question,,,,,,i mostly tig aluiminum diomond plate at work .125ga or maby 3/16 sometimes,,,,,,,we don't have advanced controls there but if i did,,,,,,what would be my benifits of pulsing and setting all these setting i just metioned vs just tig welding it normal         i understand this seems to come into play more when tig welding stainless steel,and inconel and other metals that do not like heat,,,,,,,,but my interest is in aluminum for right now.....i understand pulsing on .063,and .080,and the thin stuff,,,,,, pulsing can help get the heat out and make it easier to weld,,,,but what about some of the benifits of setting your advanced control panel up for welding .125 and 3/16 diomond plate aluminum???????????   i'm all ears!!!!!!!!
Reply:Heat input still plays a part in welding aluminum due to its characteristics (low melting point, high thermal conductivity.) Got any pictures of the welds?
Reply:i will take some pics and post on here soon....my job just got hit hard,,,,,i am working 12hrs a day 5 days a week,,,,,,,i thought the economy was bad....i will have to wait until this weekend to mess around ....well off to bed 4 me    thanks 4 all the help guys
