I am planning a cylinder cart for my oxy/acetylene setup. Has anyone built on with the cyls one in front of the other instead of side by side, for moving through cramped areas and doorways? I also want big tires. A long time ago I bought a wheelbarrow tire that you don't have to air up but it feels and rolls just like a pneumatic. That would be ideal, as I'm afraid a pnuematic would leak down and could be a tip hazard.Miller Challenger 172Miller Thunderbolt AC/DC 225/150Miller Maxstar 150 STLVictor 100CVictor JourneymanOxweld OAHarris O/ASmith O/A little torchNo, that's not my car.
Reply:I've never built one that way but I have seen them in catalogs. So yes, it's very doable.Tough as nails and damn near as smart
Reply:I have one like that, one cylinder in front of the other(w125's), got it at an auction sale for $35.00 with cyls, took the cyls back and got some gloves, took out a lease. The wheels are 12" hard rubber offset so you have to tip the cart back a fair bit to change balance for moving and when on rough ground I scrape sediment up with it, any further and I put the caps on.OK on concrete.Really not made with very much material.
Reply:I know Steve here (7A749) posted up some picts of his cart thats built that way. I can't find it with a quick search, but maybe he'll repost them for you..No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Government programs, once launched, never disappear.
