Hello,I would like some help with ID on this torch i recently acquired. It is a WELDIT W-215,Is it a Hobart from yesteryear? How hard is it going to be to get parts for it? I was looking for a rosebud for it, and purchased a medium duty Victor one, however, it did not thread on to the torch body.Is this a Victor style torch or some obscure style from the past?Any help would be appreciated.Thanks. Reply:Hopefully OAdoctor here will see this and chime in. If not send him a PM and he can probably tell you what it is. He rebuilds torches, so if it's even semi common he'll probably recognise it. If parts are available he'll have them or know where to get them.here's his website...www.regulatortorchrepair.comLast edited by DSW; 07-17-2011 at 01:47 PM..No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Reply:Weldit made a variety of torches which took other make-style tips. They were an American maker. The styles are "A" for Airco, "H" for Harris,"V" for Victor, and "E" for their Purox E-series torch clone. Some Airco tip (they are commonly available) examples.http://www.gossonline.com/site/Airco_Tips.phpYour Weldit looks like an Airco. I would try an Airco/Concoa/Koike cutting tip, and if the connection where the cutting attachment screws onto the handle resembles an Airco I'd try an Airco rosebud. Here's a sample Airco for comparison: Attached ImagesLast edited by farmall; 07-17-2011 at 01:56 PM.
