I could care less about cut speed!I just want the cleanest cut possible.... I hate grinding and sanding!!! LolSo say if I am cutting 1/8" steel at 240V (I will always run 240V since I have it in the shop)Do I just want to keep the Amp knob pegged at 30?Or should I experiment with lowering the amps to improve cut quality?

Reply:If you want to get away from clean up i suggest a shear or saw instead ...If your going to use any type of heat cutter there is going to be a little clean upyou have to use the least power and most speed you can to do it right....Less power gives you a smaller kerf and less consumable wear but reduces cut speed somewhat But as john T said cleanup is easy once you find the sweetspotBacked my CATMA over your CARMA oops clusmy me  What would SATAN do ?? Reply:I just made my first few test cuts..... Good God!!!This thing cuts like a dream!!! Even with the regular tip and the thing pegged on 30, I am in love.. Cleanup is as easy as when I chop saw the 1/8" I am pumped! At least compared to the 10 year old Unit that I used to use at my old job that you couldn't drag cut with!
