On clearance sale at my local store. Marked down to $19.9.
Reply:what's the part #?
Reply:i can't find a tig torch on their website
Reply:Item# 66921, discontinued and item # no longer at their website. It is the one goes with their "new" 66787 220V 130 amp DC arc/tig welder. 66787 was selling without tig torch, and has to buy this torch separately. Now they sell with tig torch at their website but still without at their retail stores. HF customer service told me that shipment after July 09 are with tig torch, retail stores have old stock. With 20% coupon, I got mine at $16. http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/cta...emnumber=66787
Reply:I just picked one up for myself, I plan on getting one of the 91110 inverters and adding this to it. It is a WP-17V and has a 10-25 connection, which I believe fits directly into the 91110 without a adapter and comes with a rod holder, plug, 2 ceramic nozzles(size 5,6), collet holder, 2 collets(1.6mm,2.4mm) and 2 Tungsten electrodes. Torch cable is 12' 9" and the gas hose is 8' 6" , and like HankC1 said "With 20% coupon, I got mine at $16"  I thought I would include a pic. Attached Images
Reply:My local store had 4 on the shelf, with the price marked as $44.99.  I went up to the counter to have them look up the number.  They said the item was discontinued, but they should have one on the shelf...price was $19.99.  I went back and picked up 2 using the 20% coupons...one for me, one for a friend. Here is the product webpage:  http://www.harborfreightusa.com/usa/...o?itemid=66921Thanks for the heads-up!
Reply:I picked up two of these today.  It's a well made unit and it came out to $16 after 20% coupon....  This is a steal so pick one up if you have a 91110 welder and want to do TIG.Pick up another one for spare parts - collets, bodies, handle, and cups.  I think it even comes with tungsten rods.Last edited by garyhgaryh; 02-02-2010 at 12:37 AM.
Reply:Hmm.. did you guys noticed a black sticker right under the "INCLUDES"  list? I peeled it back and it looks like they're trying to cover up "One Pressure regulator".  I guess this kit used to include a regulator....Gary
Reply:No regulator included when they were selling for $44 regular price. I have been watching this item when they first introduced about a year ago.

Reply:I just picked one up yesterday at HF in Winston-Salem, NC. I hadn't seen this thread but they had a bunch of them on display with no price so I took one to the front for a price check. $19.99. I also picked up some 1/16" tungstens they had on clearance - hope they're okay. Today I took my MT 40cf Mig gas tank to National Welders and exchanged it for Argon plus a pound each of mild and SS filler. I noticed their Radnor tungstens are all made in China. I didn't check prices on them. So maybe I can start learning to Tig in the rainy weather this weekend. I have one of the 91110 inverters to use it with (or I guess I could fire up the SA200  ). Weldcraft has some nice info available online for this torch:http://www.weldcraft.com/products/wp-series/wp-17/Lincoln SA200, HH135, Lencospot, HF80 Inverter, Rockwell 11x35 lathe, HF drill mill, Kama 554 tractor w/ FEL & BH, Belarus 250AS, lot's of Chinese tools
Reply:They've got a few torches left here too.   My neighbor has a 91110.  For the TIG conversion do you just run it straight off the bottle regulator and use the torch valve?  With the sale torch it might be a good way for me to start learning TIG while waiting for a good deal on a used 200 amp AC/DC name brand.

ReplyOES THE QUICK DISCONECT ON THIS TIG TORCH FIT THE 91110 80 AMP INVERTER MACHINE.....?or is there some moding required.        thermal arc 252i  -  millermatic 350P -   miller XMT, cp300ts, 30a 22a feeders, buttload of other millers, handfull of lincolns, couple of esabs  -   Hypertherm 1250 G3
Reply:i just bought the 91110 machine and this tig torch 2 days ago and i can confirm that the torch plugs directly into that machine.
Reply:they probably thought they pressure regulator meant the gas flow knob
Reply:Thanks for the heads up on this score. I hit HF today... went to the welding section and there was a young guy examining the very last torch on the shelf. He picked it up 3 times while standing there and finally opened the box...put it all back together and kept looking at the $44 price on the shelf. I went looking for some grinder discs and some #8 wire lugs...I figured if he bought it fine otherwise I'd give him room to decide without me leaning over his shoulder. When I went back he was gone and the torch was back on the shelf. I tucked it under my arm and headed to the register with my other toys. It came up $19.95 (minus my 20% coupon also) instead of the $44.95 shelf price. As luck would have it the young guy wound up right behind me in line (he bought a toy helecoptor) I think I got the best deal.Only stick machine I've got is an old AC unit to hook this to,but the paperwork has a flyer that states... CAUTION attach the torch to the negative terminal and the ground clamp to the positive terminal. Now I bought this to try Tig, and with AC that means aluminum .... Am I wrong to assume this doesn't apply except if it's connected to a DC machine? Time to find a DC machine of some type to practice on mild steel with so later I can Tig some SS I've got for some personal projects. I'm really ticked I didn't buy that brand new little inverter DC unit with no leads at $45 now.(I knew better than to let it slide)

Replyepends on what you're buying and what you expect from that purchase. It's hard to screw up air line connectors,or shrink tubing, or cheap paint brushes. Every so often they even have some good socket sets & wrenches & screwdrivers. Major purchases are a different matter and hit or miss. If I'm working idiots on a project...I don't want my good tools to get screwed up or vanish...so cheap fits the bill...Casters on sale are a bargain. I needed a wheel to repair a locking welding cart I bought at auction for $5 (no one wanted to fix it) the replacement wheel cost $8 ...so I got a really nice locking heavy steel cart for $13 with rubber tired casters so it rolls anywhere. I haven't bought any major items beyond a $200 blast cabinet, but for tinker toy items or one use fix-it tools they aren't much worse than anyone else...they are just honest about where their tools come from and take them back like Sears used to...they've replaced many drills..no questions asked. My Uncle bought a 10,000# winch for his carhauler trailer and it's still working like a charm and he's rough on equipment (herky-jerky kind of a guy) He even loads logs with it for firewood & big heavy pipe contraptions he has to drag onto the trailer whenever he can find them around the oilfield. I personally wouldn't subject the trailer or the winch to such abuse, but then it's his toy.If you can't examine a hand tool and tell it's a POS ,it probably doesn't matter anyway.u guys dont know what i look like , so  u wont recognize me there.        thermal arc 252i  -  millermatic 350P -   miller XMT, cp300ts, 30a 22a feeders, buttload of other millers, handfull of lincolns, couple of esabs  -   Hypertherm 1250 G3

Reply:For what it's worth.  I bought one of these torches, filed the locking lug off the brass connector, threaded it with a 3/8  NF24 die and it now screws into my Miller torch adapter. Works great.
Reply:Thermal Arc Stick Welder - 95S Stick Package - $287.00 new - Cyberweld.com.  This 120 VAC power supply supports lift-start DC TIG at 95 amp/13.8 VDC with 20% duty cycle.  Add HF TIG torch - $17.00 with 20% coupon.  Got yourself a DC SMAW/TIG welder with a brand name, 1 yr warranty, and probably a useful owners manual for $304.  I hooked it up a HF TIG torch to my Hobart Stickmate.  Did DC scratch start OK but couldn't get an AC arc going.  Probably due to plain sine wave output and no arc assist to keep arc going as voltage went through 0.TeddCoHTP Microcut 400 & Invertig 160DC  Smith Dual Guard MD-510 OA Rig  Lincoln SP135+  Hobart Stickmate LX 235/160
Reply:I went to get the discontinued tig torch & got lucky. found 1 today in the back corner "clearance pile" Only rang up @ $3.26!! Im getting the 91101 inverter from hf. What king of flow meter do i need? Is a regulator the same as a flow meter? it would seem as though flow is so much per hour, where as  regulators just supply a constant pressure. So which or what do i need for the regulator? A hf # would be sweet. Also,  would  A
