Original holes are just under 3", need to waller them out to 6"...........got them to 5" in 4 passes.....that's just over half an inch per pass...... These don't need to be precise, and I could have used the gas axe, but it would'nt have been nearly as much fun! Reply:I see the reason for the wide spacing of the parts but to me that set up sure looks to need a center support bearing on the bar.
Reply:If it was critical I would agree with you 100 percent, but this isn't and the material is very soft.........getting NO chatter.6 Miller Big Blue 600 Air Paks2 Miller 400D6 Lincoln LN-25's4 Miller Xtreme 12VS2 Miller Dimension 812 4 Climax BW-3000Z bore welders Hypertherm 65 and 85Bug-O Track BugPair of Welpers
Reply:really must be soft, to me that set up has chatter written all over it.
Reply:What are you using for the drive and feed? Any pictures of the whole set up? ThanksMike

Reply:Interesting Expat, are you re-purposing some parts or fixing for some kind of upgrade?Bars generally do pretty well when you keep a good load on the tool, it's when you try to pu$$y-foot for finish with some looseness in the setup things get nasty.Did anyone ship you some turkey for the day? Looks good,Matt
Reply:Fancy. Is the axial feed manual?

Could be a lot worse though, we've been working on cards for the folks stationed abroad. Got to thinking 'bout them sitting there in fatigues trying to make a day special. Kinda quiets a fella down for a bit.You take care & play with your toys some to pass the time. Matt
