Why is there so little love for the 300's vs the 250's?  Talking the older round tops.  Is it an input power requirement,  physical size,  or something critical like color preference, or just overkill for most of the non commercial  that the 300's don't seem to have the same favor?  It seems these come up for sale at least as, if not more frequently than the 250, at least recently.
Reply:I look at old Dialarcs and round-top Idealarcs all the time on C/L and Ebay (not that I need one, I just like them).Don't remember seeing an A.c./d.c. 300 Idealarc. As you said power requirement is probably an issue for many.
