It's time to do some welding again. Something a little more than playing around with lawnmowers.The Ranger needs to be run. The gas has been in it for near on a year I think, and I've also heard that you need to weld with them once in a while to keep the exciter circuit (?) in good shape. Not sure about that, but I've had little call for the machine in a long time, and it should be run just to keep the mice honestNormally K'kins helps me hook it up to the 3pt, but she was at work, and I hate to bother her when she gets home all tired and all. So it was a one man show.The skid was on the other side of the yard, and had to be moved to the "shop".Rather than fight with hooking it to the butt end of the tractor, I used the lifting dealie I made when I made the skid. (Been a long time since I used it, and had to dig it out of the weeds )Handy little thing. Adjusts in all 4 directions to balance the load. Doesn't matter if it's just the welder on the skid, or it's also got the cutting rig, and a hundred lbs. of tools in the box........it can be leveled for lifting.Dunno if it's the heat, or if I'm just getting old.
