My less than one year old, 50 hrs or less dynasty 200 died last week.Machine was idling and shut off while still making the "star trek" dynasty hum.Currently at the local Miller repair center for warranty.My question is.... Im now fearful of this machine.Had fair share of syncros and 330 abps in this shop with no problems.Should I worry about my Dynasty? Should I go back to a non inverter machine?Will keep everyone posted on what repair shop & miller says.Miller Dynasty 200DXMiller Spectrum 250DMiller Millermatic 200Bunch of old blue dinosaurs....
Reply:I wouldn't worry about it. If you are asking if you should go back you might consider asking if you needed it in the first place.

Reply:I never thought the dynasty was really all that portable either. Compared to other stuff yes but still not joy to lug around.You know you can't trust anyone in sales..............they make their living lying.

Reply:Better that the demons get exorcized under warranty. I killed one 350 dynasty @ 4000 hours and Miller put in a $2000 board. I since have another 2000 hours on it. Miller designed them with an 8000 hour lifespan in mind, or so I am told. Mine don't lead a normal life. I could barely get 2000 hours out of an Aerowave. That is like a year and a half into warranty. Miller lost their azz on me. Reply:I think I'd base my decision on in the depth of the issue, not the fact it had one. I'd also look at what exactly caused it. Reply:We used DX's at school and never had a problem with them. And they'll obviously be taking some abuse in the future... I did have to reset mine a couple of times but it never randomly shut off...
