I've had several threads with questions over the years on this unit but now that I own one I thought I should start a new one. First off, thanks to all who have posted on my previous questions.Second, WOW! There really isn't any going back now is there? Finally ran some first beads today and it was amazing from the first trigger pull. Mainly did synergic mode but did play with the pulse a little bit. Running 3/64 5356 mainly because Miller sent me two idler wheels for the 0.035 instead of a drive/idler set (LWS is fixing that). First couple of T-joints with 3/16 5086 using the front panel settings was just like running a caulking gun, perfect start to finish! Did a second pass and wanted a bit more heat, thumbed the gun control and watched the display from across the garage pulled the trigger and perfect again!All this may not seem like a big deal to some but it usually took me a good 20 minutes to dial in my voltage and wire speed with my old spool gun and power supply and then have to change it again every other pass. I went with the Lite gun also and it's a dream compared to the spool gun, makes a stick electrode holder seem clunky.Pulse didn't really add much for the 3/16 I was playing with but I'll see once I start messing with the thinner stuff. 1/8 was my lower limit with my old rig and even then is was a crapshoot between bird poo or burn through (often both on the same pass!).I'll post some pictures and be asking a lot more questions once I get some time to do some serious testing.
