Hello there. We are currently looking for 2, possibly 3 welders to start immediately. We are a well known Fortune 500 company and have an excellent facility. Climate controlled year round, all tools supplied, just show up and work! (bring your own boots and welding hood)  We are located in West Tulsa, very close to hwy 75. Looking for welders with experience with stainless steel gtaw (tig) and gmaw/fcaw (mig/flux). We build lots of small tanks and pipe spools made of butt weld and socket welds. Must be safety focused, professional, and dependable. Pay will be based on experience/ ability and will be discussed offline.  Quality and quality are expected, but quality actually wins out here, we are different than most shops. Most of our tig work consists of 1/2" sch 80 up to 2" sch 80 that we tig weld, about 99% 316 stainless. Our mig/flux work mostly consists of 5" sch 10, 6" sch 10/40, and 8" sch 40, about 90% 316 stainless.    Xray and appearance are very important. Most welds get x rayed and dye penetrant testing, and occasionally hardness testing.  This is a great job with excellent benefits and a long term career opportunity. These are full time positions! We have one employee retiring and 1 or 2 open spots so we are really looking for immediate help who can start within a week or 2 (to give time for you to give your notice to your current employer). We don't really have any experience requirement, as long as you can pass our test. Obviously you will do better if you've been doing this for a while, but not everyone has been doing it for 10 years. We prefer you to have some type of experience in what we do, but we'll deal with that when we talk later.  Our weld tests are all rolled out in a welding positioner ( we call it a pinwheel). The first will be 2 tig butt welds on 3/4" sch 80 316L. You will bevel and fit up your own test, don't forget to purge! You will use 3 pieces of pipe, roughly 4" long and make 2 welds. We  do this to make sure you can keep the pipe straight as you go, which is very important here. The second test is 8" sch 40 316L. It will be one open root butt weld with a mig root and fluxcore fill/cap.  Our tests are  visual only! We understand that weld tests can be very intimidating and make you nervous. If we hire you, your first day is typically just doing safety and then you will be expected to pass an 8" sch 40 roll out test with mig root and fluxcore fill/cap that will be bend tested. You will also be required to pass a 1/2" sch 80 and 2" sch 80 6G tig test that will be x-rayed.  Thanks a lot! Please reply to this thread or pm me and we will get the ball rolling!Lincoln Idealarc Tig 300/300, Lincoln ranger 8, Lincoln LN-25, Miller Sidekick (keeps rockin!), Oxy/Acy torch, Miller XMT-304 with a Miller 60 series wire feeder and high freq. box, Profax positioner 8" chuck, Aaronson 3500# positioner 15" chuck
Reply:If anyone has any questions, please post up! Also, for the right person, we may hire someone who needs training. We do understand that not everyone has done what we do, and you have to learn somewhere!Lincoln Idealarc Tig 300/300, Lincoln ranger 8, Lincoln LN-25, Miller Sidekick (keeps rockin!), Oxy/Acy torch, Miller XMT-304 with a Miller 60 series wire feeder and high freq. box, Profax positioner 8" chuck, Aaronson 3500# positioner 15" chuck

Reply:Wish I had the experience. There are a lot of welders on the rig welders forum that might be interested.
Reply:I am certified in MIG/FLUX(open root), Stick(backing bar), Tig(open root), and got a tig cert on pipe. I have no stainless experience, but really want to learn it. I think in a few weeks I am getting a extension at my school so I am gonna focus up on stainless. PM if you like.Miller Maxstar 200 SDPiperliner #10 Gold
