Has anyone ordered online on the new version of the Harbor Freight web site.? I cannot get it to add items to the cart to order anything. Guess I could just call, but I just wondered if it was me or was anyone else having the same problems. I know they have been working on it.

Reply:What Browser are you using? I had problems using certain sites with Firefox. It kept deleting items I was putting in my e-shopping cart.
Reply:It's definitely wacky. I put a bunch of stuff in the cart then I signed in and my cart was empty. I do like the layout better for sure. They just need to work out some issues.
Reply:I'm using IE 8 with Windows XP. I can add 1 item to the cart but when I add the second item, the first item is gone and it says my cart is empty. No big deal, but I did like to order online from them occassionally. I had no trouble placing orders on the old website.
Reply:"they just need to work out some issues"lol they went live with a new site some two weeks ago and still it is about as stable as britney spears @ rehab. if it was my shop all their developers would be looking for new jobs as their old ones went to india. or, wait, maybe that is what caused this in the first place? if anyone was unwilling to work, neither should that one eat - 2 Thessalonians 3:10
Reply:Had that trouble a week ago. Took an hour to get 5 item's in my cart, it just sat there.
Reply:Yesterday I had problems with the search engine on the new website. I tried the word 'solar' and it couldn't find it. The old site had no problem finding it. I emailed this to HF but haven't received a reply yet.
Reply:Hi BitBreaker,We're working on the search functionality and have plans to improve it substantially. I do apologize - sometimes it's keywords that it doesn't like or we just missed or didn't think of. Though, when I type "solar" in it does return some results.In the mean time you may want to search for slight variations on the words you are using or try alternates. Or if you know the part number that should work as well.

Reply:Hi HarborFreightKevin, I am on my work computer which is running XP with Service Pack 2 and tried 'solar' again on the new website and had the same results - and it still finds it OK on the old website. I will try the same search with my home computers, one is running Vista (Yuk), the other runs Windows 7 and will let you know the results. Maybe that has something to do with it????
