Hey guys. Need some help identifying this crazy jack? I'm thinking it's some kind of extremely heavy duty transmission jack. Honestly I haven't really got a clue. The thing is big and heavy. The pump is about 8" in diameter, the cylinder is 4" diameter. Stands about 26" tall retracted. The three legs look like shock absorbers, lol. I'm guessing it weighs 120lbs+. Any labels from the manufacturer are gone. I have googled until my eyes hurt. I know someone here will be able to tell me all about it. You guys never fail.Miller EconotigCutmaster 38Yes ma'am, that IS a screwdriver in my pocket!
Reply:Could be some type of automotive brand tool. Sort of looks like something the entertainment industy might use for positioning cameras, lighting etc.. Might chek with Ed (brocolli1) on that. That is his business..Tiger Sales: AHP Distributor www.tigersalesco.comAHP200x; AHP 160ST; MM350P, Spoolmatic 30A; Everlast PowerTig 185; Thermal Dynamics 60i plasma. Reply:I would say its some type of Aircraft Jack
Reply:Gerry is correct. It is an aircraft jack. Used when doing tire work or work on the landing gear.
Reply:See there! 20 minutes. I have been trying to figure out what the thing is for a week. I should have come here first, of course.Thank you very much guys! Now to figure out what to do with it.Miller EconotigCutmaster 38Yes ma'am, that IS a screwdriver in my pocket!
Reply:Now that was a bloody good guess
Reply:Joking aside, i've seen these types before, there was a guy here not long ago who works for a company making these in sweden or similar

Reply:I think I will get a new hose, make sure it works like it should, and put it on Ebay after a good cleaning. I've got a press already I built a few years back. This thing extends from 24" tall to 52", plus another 12" if I had the screw. I don't need a press anything like that. The idea of putting a dump bed on my pickup is tempting, but so is a quick and easy $500 or so. Especially this time of year. Thanks again for the help folks! I googled everything I could think of. Aircraft jack never even entered my mind.Miller EconotigCutmaster 38Yes ma'am, that IS a screwdriver in my pocket!
