Hi. I just bought a esab migmaster 250 off craigslist.  It came with a sga 100 and a miller spoolmate 3545.  I'm not sure how to hook this up.  There is a copper wire that appears to be cut that comes from the spool gun, looks like it maybe had a terminal on it at one time. Also I do not see how to connect the controller to the welder? Sorry guys not new to welding but new to the spool gun. Thanks Attached Images
Reply:Ok the spool gun system you have can be made to work. the spool gun is driven by the sga100 box. The sga100 has a four pin plug that would normally plug into the miller welder trigger plug.Your will need the plug changed to match the plug on the front panel near the spoolgun symbol.Connect to pins A & B. Then use toggle switch to select mig or spool guns. The gas line will have to connect to the regulator and gas bottle. There should be a machine diagram pasted to one of the lower covers, or go to www.ESABNA.com and down load a owners manual.You can go to www.millerwelds.com for miller owners manuals. The gun has one manual and the sga100 has its own manual. Send me a PM if you need more help connecting up.Just remind me you have a esab welder and miller spool gun.
