I have a Century 130 Model 117-052-003 Mig that I bought new in the late 90s.I've had a shield gas leak so decided to replace the solenoid valve with a Amazon replacement.https://www.amazon.com/dp/B085G572CN...roduct_details

Of course the mounting screws were not the same, so took of the panels, used a piece of duct tape to mark the holes and redrilled (mounted perfect). Also had to enlarge the rear panel hole where the input gas barb filling comes out (no problem with a stepper bit)The gas flow direction is marked but the wires were not marked for polarity (24v 8w) two gray wires. My bottle is about empty but I turned on the gas to fill the line, then shut it off to see if it would hold pressure but it immediately leaked off.If it leaked down would polarity matter? Also does anyone know the direction of Air Flow for the cooling fan? Does it draw from the front and exhaust at the rear or the opposite? When I removed the fan for access I failed to mark where the wires went so not sure I hooked them back correctly. Right now its drawing from the rear and exhausting thru the front (thinking that might not be correct). |
