I hate this esab torch it's so terrible, I have feeding issues all the time, the stupid contact tips stick out way past the nozzle, which causes them to go bad fast, whenever I try to weld in spray arc, it melts through tips like crazy, the wire gets stuck to the tip in the inside. Anyway, whats a good replacement torch? It's a euro torch design.Any ideas? I want something with easily available parts, not like esab

Reply:For my money the Bernard BtB is the very best gun you can buy in my opinion. Especially with the center fire consumables. https://bakersgas.com/products/bernard-btb-configuratorAnything from HTP America is a good option as well, although not nearly as good as the Bernard https://usaweld.com/pages/mig-welding-guns-searchMiller Multimatic 255
Reply:I had Bernards with center fire tips on my Millers also and really like them Have you tried shortening the contact tips on your erostyle? I had to do that on one of my Twecos. The first ones I shaved an 1/8 off with the lathe but later just used a cutoff wheel and belt grinder. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk:
Reply:I was going to say Bernard, but I am trying to find the insulated tip for a Duraflux gun - back ordered or will ship from manufacturer (someday) & my LWS say's anything he orders from Bernard is 3 months lead time! |
