I've been researching about welding job in Calgary and most of them require B-Pressure Welding.According from video, they were welding a round metal thing like pipe.Is it difficult? and what do I need to take the B-pressure test?

Reply:You cracked me up when you stated "they were welding a round metal thing like pipe" LMMFAO. But seriously dont say that on a job interview. We've done so much, for so long, with so little. Were now qualified to do anything with nothing !
Reply:Just what you need us more Xray work. Takes all fun out welding. It is also working cold 🥶 year ago.Dave

Reply:It's only not fun if you drop an x-ray.Ask me how I know.

Reply:Once in a while I drop one, usually the nice looking weld. Then you have to chop it out and re-do it.Pushes beer'o'clock back and never gets you laid.
Reply:That can be a pain if you working for self. Most do not appreciate a great weld or welders. Dave

Reply:I had excellent formal tuition by the very best teachers and passed the final practical test that has an 80% failure rate, got my certs and thought I was set.Went out on the job and had the humbling experience of finding out I knew diddly squat and most of my gear was useless. Got taken in by gun welders who "massaged" me into shape. That was a long time ago and alot of water under the bridge. The gun welders are now my best mates and we bring each other onto jobs and keep good man beer brewers employed (none of this craft beer dishwater). My former teachers now ring to get jobs done and for advice since I am multi skilled (and certificated). Formal training is really important but only gets you to the entry door with certs in your pocket, after that it's up to you to work at it and improve your skills. If you bypass the formal tuition and qualifications in this country, you'll never be considered more than a labourer with the lowest pay. Plenty of work around for those guys, supermarket box stackers can make more money.
Reply:I agreeI want to go but to welding school but I was to young at time my only option was books.By time was old enough to go to welding school I had to register for draft and college look like a better option. If I had college I be could be a officer . Dave
