Howdy guys. I don't post very much here but I took a stab at building some bumpers for my truck. I'm an equipment operator by trade but I bought a TIG recently and decided to have a go with it.
Rear bumper. I actually made a youtube video detailing this one, but I don't know how badly I'll get roasted if I post it.
Started the front bumper.
Got the D rings welded on as well as changed my headlights out for some LEDs or something. I don't really remember what. They're bright and they work well.
Still needs 2 more pieces welded in as well as some final cleanup and paint.I helped momma out with making some jewelry holders for her mom.
She cut them out with the plasma cutter too! Did a pretty good job for someone who has never touched raw steel before. Here's a Spanish CETME rifle I build. I rolled the receiver from a flat, modified the trigger group to NFA compliance (semi only) as well as installed a denial shelf, demilled the parts kit, set the head space/bolt gap, and welded it all up.
I also built an Uzi carbine, but I don't have pictures of it available. Here's a few random pictures from a TDY (temporary duty) I went on. Me and another guy in our shop bent all this rebar, plus maybe another 200 or so pieces, and I burned it all together with a MIG with no gas with solid core wire. Hack yes but we were in the middle of no where and getting gas was impossible.
Thanks for reading.
