Long story short, I spent 5k on a highly detailed sleeve tattoo a few years back. I wear a leather welding jacket but still get burnt through and it's ruining my tattoo. I'd like to prevent it if possible. Stupid question I know but I figured I'd ask. Thanks in advance.

Reply:Must be overhead welding? Reply:Spray your arm down with antispatter. Or just take your tattoo sleeve off when you're welding. https://www.amazon.com/Aresvns-Tempo...756768&sr=8-24Joking. You can get welding sleeves to put on your arms. Reckon you could put one over your jacket sleeve. Unless you're talking about spatter going in your jacket sleeves. For that, I'd just cinch the sleeve down tighter. Maybe rivet on a strap so you can tighten them up more?
Reply:Here the sleeves I was thinking of. https://www.weldingoutfitter.com/col...sleeves-1-pair
Reply:You are tough.  Perhaps change your position, make another position comfortable. If you burn thru, does the leather shrink and harden.  Sound expensive without a tatoo. What do you do?  If overhead try one hand, eliminate the catcher arm. Perhaps switch hands.Good luck.
Reply:I use a leather welding coat. Never get burn including overhead. FYI get over size they last a lifetime. Mind fit over a light coat in 1970's and today still fits without the coat.Dave
