welder for equipment (& home)//crosspost from intro

Hi,I am a self employed arborist looking to get a welder to maintain equipment and do fabrication in the shop.I have a mini skidsteer with a grapple and splitter, a tow behind  woodchipper, f550dump truck,f350& dump trailer.  I may get different  equipment in he future (eg wheel loader, sawmill).I am brand new to welding.  I have professonal welder neighbor who is teaching me.  He recommends at least a 200amp welder.  I am lost in the sea of options.  Please help!At the moment, I am considering new multiprocess options such as Hobart  multihandler 210($1800cad), ESAB emp 210($1800cad), Lincoln multiprocess  210 ($2700cad).  I do not believe any of these can use 6010 rods. I am also considering the 2 welder solution, getting a new Lincoln  mig180 ($1000cad) and a used ac/dc stick welder when one becomes  available (+-500?).My last option is a used Lincoln v350 pro ($1700cad), no feeder or wires so that will be I'm guessing $1000 extra. Additionally, for all options I will need a torch setup ($1000?)I'm not directly making money from welding, but I do want to be self  sufficient in repairs/modifications, and also fabrication eg make  tables, tool racks, etc.I am concerned about the cost ballooning, but at 35 years I also do like to buy quality tools I can grow into. Reply:I like the dc multiprocess machines if you're mostly welding steel or stainless. You don't need 6010, as you can substitute 6011 without any issues. 6011 will do everything 6010 will do, for the types of things you are welding. Of the ones you mentioned I'd probably go with the Hobart machine. I have owned Hobart in the past and loved it.
