Swapped over to a skid steer style attachment for my Kubota b7800. It was a tight fit, but got everything to work without moving the bucket further from the pins or adding a ton of weight. Ill build a light material bucket and forks next. For perspective, bucket is 53in wide, 1/8in wrap and side plates, top lip and tie bar are 1.5x0.120 round tube and by the end I could just manage to pick the bucket up and scoot it around the shop by hand. (Ill probably try to get an official weight at some point.)
Switched to oxy propane cutting and loved it. Used a 7in type 28 (dish or saucer) style grinding wheel and that went a lot faster as well.
So far so good
PS added a little hard face to the cutting edge while it was in the shop:

Reply:That came out great. If you decide to make any implements, you may want to look on line and buy the attachment plates there. I've bought several and all were $129 but may be a little more in this economy. The company has a 3 minute film you watch and get free shipping. The welds on them do suck but are easy to fix.
Reply:I did get two plates, a full 3/16 plate that will probably be the back of my light material bucket (with 14g sheetmetal for the rest of the bucket) and a cutout 3/8 plate that will be the start of a 2in receiver, chain hook, utility plate. The fork carriage will likely have homemade attachment pieces to save weight and maintain visibility.Brooklyn: It would have been sweet to have a new 255 for this and a few other upcoming projects! Old reliable gets the job done for now
