I purchased the ESAB 252i last year. It's been pretty much problem free until this past Friday. It stick welds fine but Error 14 pops up on the screen in both mig and tig mode and neither of them work. I was curious if anyone has had this same error and what did it take to fix it... parts and money? Thanks
Reply:Get the manual from the ESAB site, it will be in there, I don't recall what that code is.ESAB Rebels 215 and 235, ESAB HELIARC 281i, ESAB ET 301i, Hypertherm 85 and 45XP, Thermal Arc 185, TD 60i, HTP PRO PULSE 300
Reply:From the service manual ESAB FABRICATOR 252iTROUBLESHOOTING 6-2 Manual 0-545114 Trigger Fault Fault occurred detectingtrigger state/conditionA. Trigger may be already actived when MIG process mode is selected- verify that trigger is not accidentally activatedB. Trigger may be faulty and/or dirty, test and replace MIG Torch/triggerdevice. If this does not fix the problem change Main Power PCB.
Reply:I have the manual. It talks about the trigger yes. I've checked it out, trigger is working fine. Didn't have any more time to mess with it. Had dealer pick it up. Should know something soon. Thanks
Reply:Update... welding shop said they couldn't find anything wrong with it. Ran fine. Brought it back and tried it. Welds fine for now. Just a fluke I guess.Last edited by Monster77; 03-19-2019 at 10:45 AM.Reason: Forgot something
