Snapon 3/8" 20 tooth ratchet rebuild kit

I have a Snapon F710-D 3/8" drive ratchet handle in need of a kit. I found the part number for the kit RKRA38ALS but can't find any for sale. A search at Snapon's site says "not found". I found one on ebay but it got sold in 2018. This wrench was made in the seventies. I wonder if it is possible to put in a different kit, or if Snapon will give me a new one since they don't have parts for this one anymore. Reply:Catch a Snap On dealer truck somewhere, there are updated kits for that ratchet and if it can't be repaired they will usually replace it with a newer one.

Reply:I've run into this.  One of my 1st jobs was as a mechanic - the boss had a ratchet break that didn't have a kit available anymore.The snap-on guy happily gave him a new one...for half price....

Reply:Has some old Snap On ratchets that were worn out.  One Snap On man said, "This is old and military, we don't have any kits for this."  Next time a different one, at work and I took the ratchet to him and he rebuilt it and 3 other's.  He used rebuild kits had on hand.  Didn't look at part numbers, just rebuilt them with what fit.Pays to ask multiple tool dealers.Dave
