Reply:I had a '98 Ranger 4x4, that thing didn't like anything more than about 400# in the back. I used it as a welding rig for 3 weeks once with a Trailblazer 302 in the back, it wasn't happy.

Reply:The rock may have been about 1700lbs. based on the size of the skid steer. No where near 10,000lbs. though. I'm guessing the owner wasn't too worried if the truck got wrecked.

Reply:Getting it in was easy enough (with a front end loader), but I wonder how the owner plans to get it out? It WILL fold up that tailgate like a matchbox if they try to go over the tailgate and I suspect even if the take the tailgate off it's still going to put a serious V in the back of the bed of the truck when they get it near the edge where there's not a lot of support.   OTOH I wonder if he even got the rock home before it broke lose when he tried to slow down and it came crashing into the rear of the cab of the tuck and taking out the rear window in the process?

Reply:I loaded a pallet of sod in my Ranger, had to take some out, and lay it across the hood to bring the front end down. Still seemed like I was driving to the sky. Fun ride, luckily  only 10 miles.

Haha.   At our sales yard we would never do that. For one thing our pallets are a full 48” wide so they wouldn’t fit inside your wheel wells.  Secondly because of liability we refuse to overload a customers vehicle no matter what they say.

Our sales mantra is make MULTIPLE safe trips with your pickup or pay US to place the product curb side on on your prepped area.
