Sorry guys the cords plug into each other but my ever last welder doesnt want to plug Into the end. I forced it in one time and it was impossible to get it out. There a difference between different plug manufacturers and is there a difference between n6-50 and a 6-50 plug?Last edited by UniqueTouch; 12-28-2020 at 09:37 AM.

Reply:Are you saying youwant to join the two female receptacles? If so just make a cord with 2 NEMA 6-50 plugs on it. I doubt you will find one premade because this is about as stupid as you can get. You end up with a cord with live prongs on one end.
Reply:He must have a 230 volt extension cord for his welder. The female end will plug into the male end of the same cord, but the 230 volt plug from the welder for some reason doesn't want to mate with the female end of the extension cord. At least that is my translation of the situation. It may take a unique touch to put it all together.
Reply:Yes Village that is correct. Sorry my dumb *** worded that horribly lolololol.

Reply:So. Just to be clear my understanding is that the OP did not need an adapter but was dealing with a questionable quality Nema 6-50 plug that came with his welder. ? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk:

just about pulled an outlet off the wall the other day in the bosses shop that I had mounted with a couple of deck screws!!!
