Reply:Check the tip as it might fit Airco-style tips. As companies consolidated they took advantage of buying intellectual property and because torches go back so many decades when patents expired companies like Uniweld (still in business and good quality) made torches with combinations of features. I look for old torch patents by brand when I'm curious:https://www.freepatentsonline.com/2392386.pdf
Reply:I’ll probably never hook up the torch and try it.I was just curious about the age of the torch andthought someone here might have some interesting information. I found another torch. Looks like someoxy-fuel tip and tubes,no valves. I’ll take a pic later.Maybe someone will know something about it.Miller a/c-d/c Thunderbolt XLMillermatic 180 Purox O/ASmith Littletorch O/AHobart Champion Elite

I was wrong when I said it had no valves. One is marked “gas”.The other “air”. Markings on torch appear to say “AGFCO”.I’m going to clean it up and look at it in better light tomorrow.Anyone familiar with this or similar torch?

Reply:I think you have some neat old antiques. Don't know how safe they'd be to use but definitely conversation pieces for anyone interested in welding.
Reply:Second torch is apparently a “burnishing“ torch, made by AGFCOin Elizabeth,NJ. I’m not sure what materials would be burnished using a torch. (Maybe glass ?)Miller a/c-d/c Thunderbolt XLMillermatic 180 Purox O/ASmith Littletorch O/AHobart Champion Elite

Reply:I doubt it is as much fun as the gasoline torch I played with as a child,,,

[/QUOTE]I have a couple of those old gasoline blowtorches that I’ve never tried.Do you know what the procedure is for lighting them. I had a white gascamp stove that had a preheat procedure that used to frighten peoplewatching me.

Reply:That makes sense.I forgot that there was a pump on the tank.Backpacking stove had no pump and tankhad to be preheated to build enough pressure to force fuel up the stem to theburner.Miller a/c-d/c Thunderbolt XLMillermatic 180 Purox O/ASmith Littletorch O/AHobart Champion Elite
