I have some Certanium 50 brazing rod. Does anyone have technical info on this rod? Working temperatures? Chemical composition. Recommended flux? Rated PSI tensil strength? The label reads Copper-Silver alloy. Maintenance alloy. Im hoping to use it one SS joining for hobby/art projects. Would it be good for brazing a lugged bike frame? Please dont suggest I google it. I have already spent hours trying to find this online. It seems to have been made in the 1980s and is discontinued so far as I can tell. thx. Jim

Reply:If I had to guess it would be most like. Cronatron® 45 Silver Bare Brazing Rodbut I’d like to see that in a written spec somewhere if possible. |
