Ok I am starting to relearn to weld and have a 117-050 welder. Right now I have it running electric with flux core wire but get alot of splatter and jumping welds. My friend told me it should be able to run was and help with those issues. I removed the cover to find it has the hook ups already for gas. It has a line running from the switch to the top area where the feeder part are. But the tube just comes out about an inch or two and is wide open (tube is maybe a little thicker than a ballpoint pen). Where does that tube go to and/or how do I hook it up to the whip to run the gas. Someone said I likely need a reducer but they didn't know how to hook it up or to familiar with my model. If anyone can please help me or if someone has a copy of the manual I would appreciate it. I am semi-disabled and can't really afford the 8 buck for a digital copy of the manual.
