Reply:I do a lot of brazing on mild steel. However, I have not had reason to braze Stainless Steel. I do have a book "The Oxy-Acetylene Handbook" by Union Carbide, 1960. They say braze welding is not frequently done because the bronze affect the corrosion resistance of the SS. Silver brazing is not uncommon in plumbing application of stainless steel.
