90 degree pipe to pipe arc 7018 help!!??

i am building a saw horse for a school project and i need help about welding semi circle cut outs of pipe.
Reply:What diameter of pipe.???  There are sharware programs around that will give you a template pattern for a wraparound template.  Most good drafting texts will give you the procedure for making a tamplate.

Reply:That pipe is so small you can either wack the end with a hammer to slightly flatten the end or just grind the end to form a fishmouth.  The 7018 will fill the gap nicely.  The pipe is so small I would just use the eyecromiter to grind the shape :'))
Reply:Another way to "cheat" on fishmouths is to use a 1" holesaw without the pilot drill in a sturdy vise/ drillpress setup and just drill the tube at the correct angle till the hole coupon comes loose. I use that technique on fencing sometimes. And that is if the sawhorse isnt going to be holding 50 tons.
