I've been looking at some of the small, portable well drilling units. Most are a little smaller than I want. I have just about got a design for one figured out. Only problem is I can't find a source for the water swivel. Anybody out there familiar with these and know a place that has them? Thanks,Patrick

Reply:I have a 6.75 HP lawnmower motor? Do you think thats enough HP for a water well drilling? My ranch consist of all sandy like soil. Very soft. Secondly, what kind of tip is needed for the drilling. I mean when you drill the pipe all the way down, water has to start coming up right away no?
Reply:Been on all those sites and more. I find they all mention the swivel, but I can't find a source for one of any size anwhere on yahoo or google. I did find one for fluids that was close on to what I'm looking for on rotarysystms.com.
Reply:Define "of any size" What size are you looking for?http://drillingfab.com/swivelsin the above post listed 3 swivels with sizes in the 2" range. It also listed prices and S&H chargesHere is another link to swivelshttp://www.kingoiltools.com/prod_by_category.aspLast edited by standles; 04-26-2006 at 08:31 AM.Inspiring Thought for the Day:Some people are like slinkies ... Reply:I found a few small ones for using on a drill. The ones on the portable well drill sites are about the right size, but I was hoping to find another source that might be cheaper. The King Oil Tools is the kind of site I'm looking for (although price might not be to my liking). Wonder how hard a water swivel would be to 'engineer'?

Most likely by the time you "engineer" your own solution it will be cheaper to buy it. StevenInspiring Thought for the Day:Some people are like slinkies ...
