Ok. I got some info back from the unions. Basically I'm screwed right now. I have to pass two welding tests before i am considered to actually become part of the apprenticeship program. Reply:don't worry you might find out that school is were you want to be anyway. And schools a good place to get the basics down
Reply:yes  you can learn at your own speed in school.  and not have to worry about the bosses deadline. it's tuff to start out. the noobie always get the  short end of the stick.. take your time candi and it will work out

Reply:Yup, I agree. You got the direction you needed. Patience grasshopper. It will happen. Go to school and learn and it will all fall into place when the time is right. Practice with your toys and listen to the boards. I wish these things existed when I was first starting out. Things may have been different on many fronts.
