Reply:a has filler b dontChuckASME Pressure Vessel welder
Reply:I agree with Chopper
Reply:b is fused
Reply:It could simply be the angle or the lighting, but the B side looks concave. If that's the case, then I'm gonna say A is filler and B is fused.Kalroy"It's all about the OODA Loop."
Reply:A filler, B fused
Reply:No filler on B

Reply:Well I have limited knowledge but on first pic A seems to have filler, but on the 2nd pic A seems to be fused....I kno its the same so with this I conclude I can´t tell if it has filler or not. On 3rd pic B seems to have filler but on 4rth it seems to be fused. Are you messing with us zap? Lol what I can assure its that B looks nicer than A. And both welds will hold fkin optics! and shinyness is also a trouble =) I bet best we can do is ask the welder for this time What is it zap?My Babies: HF Drill pressHF Pipe Bender3 4.5" Black and Decker angle grindersLincoln Electric PROMIG 175that´s it!

Reply:It doesn't cost anything to answer.A has filler, B fused.
Reply:My Guess is that they are both fused If there was filler used the weld would be wider

Reply:Humm... I was kind of expecting you to be coming back with that answer with the way you titled the thread. After looking closely at both again let's start a new tangent... From the blurry pics which side looks undercut? My answer - both.... Which A being much more so...Originally Posted by TubularFabHumm... Reply:Notice that I didn't post up anything? That's cause I just now saw the post... but I was leaning towards the idea that it's hard to tell in those pics. Even the one that is drawn out a lot wider, and obviously concave, could have had a little filler added in it. But also remember that these welds here have no bearing or resemblence to the weld you posted in the other thread. Much of it could be the pic quality. I don't mean to crack on your photography skills, since none of us here boast being great photographers, but the quality of the pic in the other thread was a lot better than these. It may have been a lighting issue, but I dunno.Now...post up pics of welds with very little or no concavity, but NO filler is added. It's a lot easier to make a concave weld, while adding filler, than it is to make a convex weld without it.
