Need a little help with new purchase

I am getting ready to purchase a Millermatic 210. I will be using it for home hobby use and have done a lot reading about the 210 here on the site. I dont think I will need anything bigger then the 210 in my lifetime but didnt want to get something to small and grow out of it. I am going to school now and learning how to weld. I also have a Lincoln 225AC stick welder and a Century gassless 110 V mig. My questions are when I place the order for the welder I want to get everything I need at one shot. What kind of different welding wire and size of the spools should I get ? I do have some body panels to weld so do I need a smaller wire for that ? What size gas bottle should I get ? If I buy the package deal with the spoolgun does it really save you alot of money or about the same if you were to buy it later down the road ? I really dont have anything aluminium to weld as of now but you never know. If I can save a bunch of money by not getting it now I will probably do that and get it when I need it. Is the consumables kit for the tips worth getting ?I already now I can buy a cover from a member here so that is taking care of. If you can think of anything I am forgetting please let me know as I am still learning all of this stuff.

Reply:adding a spoo; gun now may save some $$ it will depend on the seller some times you can get a great deal, others not so great. look at the with and without prices and what they go for on e-bay. the MM210 is well spoken of by way too many to list or question the truth behind it. i think you will need to get a .025 wheel seperate as i dont think it comes with one. also dont just think of the spool gun in an aluminum only aplication. you can use it with any wire or gass so you can keep a large role of .030 in the mig and a small role of .025 in the spool gun for quick light stuff. also the spool gun gives you a lot more reach then the 15ft gun on the MM210. i think the 125 tank is about a perfect fit , not too heavy but still plenty of gas, i used a 155 for a long time its ok depending on how well you can move it (bad back here ) the consumables kit can be put togather easily enough but its nice to get it in a sweet lil package and just refill as needed, i got one for mine.also .030 is the best all purpuse wire for the MM210 it will give you plenty of heat for the big stuff the .025/.023 is good for sheet work. try a few little roles to see how you like the feel but odds are you will settle to .025 and .030 as the main wires used. its also nice to keep a few small roles of .035 flux core around for thouse acational uses, with the spool gun you could do a quick fiq in the driveway and never even move the MM210 out of the shop. congrats on the new toy. summer is here, plant a tree for mother earth. if you dont have time or space, sponcer some one else to plant one for you.feel free to shoot me a PM or e-mail me at [email][email protected] i got lots of time.
