If i mig 4140 to mild steel, will I maintain at least the mild steel strength? I am planning on pre heating the 4140.I am welding 1x2 x .083 rectangle mild steel to 2 3/4 x .300 4140 tubeThank youSean
Reply:Do you mean 4130??? Or 4340?? Chromo, correct?? Yes, it welds together well, use regular er70-s2 rod, or mig wire, and have at it. You will retain good strength. |
