Heading Out West????

Okay, heres a good question for anyone here who works out west (Alberta Calgary ETC.) Whats work like out there? I herd that there is a lot of mistreated people out there. Is the housing accommodations good, bad on a scale of 1-10.
Reply:Most people live in stone houses just like on the flintstones,Have to make soap from animal taloe because so far from civilization.Payrool is once a month as the stage comes through once a month except for winter,then you have to wait for the spring thaw and the once a month stage starts back up! Power is a luxury so don't bring your dvd player or cpu, A phone consists of 2 cans with a string just like when you were little. And a fun night consists of cow tipping.So now do you want to come out west lol.
Reply:Some area's of alberta are currently experiancing housing shortages, as a result housing prices are rising at a 10-20% clip anually, living expenses are also on the rise. Employment is not an issue though, depending how picky you are, you could probably start work the first day you arrive. Wages are have also been inflated, all trades are in high demand, particularily heavy duty mechanics.As a welder you will be able to find a job anywhere from a fab shop to out in the field on pipelines to construction.
