i just used my miller 210 for the first time and i am hooked. i am building a welding table and so far everything is going very well. My beads look good and i am getting some good penetration. this is my first time to ever try welding, and i have never seen anyone else do it. this site is the only form of instruction i have had. i tried to take pics of the welds, but my camera sucks on close-ups. right off the bat i learned that i needed to put deeper bevels on the 1/2" stretcher where they attached to the pipe legs. that helped me get the pentration i needed.my questions:how do i keep from getting the dimple at the end of the weld?thanks.thanks guys.

Reply:Hang on for a sec at the end and fill the crater, then go back about 1/4" before breaking the arc. See how that works for you. Good luck!If you don't have the time to do it right, then you definitely don't have the time to do it over. |
