I am welding up some bar stools using some old tractor seats. I want them to swivel. I can not find a base that I can weld that is strong enough. Anyone have a source for these ? Looked on Kings website and couldn't find anything.. Thanks
Reply:McMaster Carr. I just bought some swivels from them for making a painting swivel table.

Reply:I buy swivel seat bases locally from a boat store. I just bought a couple to build a tractor seat stool. They cost me $3.86 each. Try a local boat store or sporting goods store that caters to fishermen.
Reply:I bought one that looks like this at Home Depot:Warning: I have been wrong before!New small workshop, small MIG, oxyacetylene set with a DHC-2000 that I'm learning to use and really like. Life is good!Typos are there for those that look for them. I try to do something for everybody.
Reply:I got a new Rockler catalog today and I noticed they have swivels for stools. If you haven't found some already try their web site.
