Should a properly sized welding glove fit like a regular glove? I ask because I tried some new Hobart gloves, the new 'fitted' style, in Large (which is what I wear in everything from medical gloves to work gloves) and the fingers were really short (about 1/2" of my finger was up in the palm of the glove). Is this how they're supposed to fit?

Reply:I buy my tig glove on the bigger side..and i get a new one every 3 weeksAs the heat from everyday welding will eventually shrink a glove down pretty good..I have a "old" glove thats 1 month old and I can barley get it on now.....zap!I am not completely insane..Some parts are missing Professional Driver on a closed course....Do not attempt.Just because I'm a dumbass don't mean that you can be too.So DON'T try any of this **** l do at home.
Reply:I hate wearing heavy gloves.... I have very wide, thick palms with short fingers and if there is too much material between the fingers I find it very bothersome. I usually wear a tig gloves for most of what I do.... but when I have to really crank up the heat I use a heavy glove on whichever hand is not pulling the trigger._________________Chris
